    Arpita Pal

    Arpita Pal is a scholar pursuing PhD as a Junior Research Fellow attached to the Department of English at the University of Gour Banga. Her area of research is the literature of the Bengal Famine of 1943-44. She completed her MA from the University of Calcutta in 2021. She completed her BA(Hons) from Scottish Church College, Kolkata. She is a gold medalist of the University of Calcutta and has been awarded the Late Babli Chatterjee Memorial Scholarship, 2021. She has  presented many papers in International Conferences, the most recent one being the ICSSR sponsored three-day International Conference “In Search of Creative Commons: Crisis, Catastrophe and Responsive Literature in India”  held at Gour Mahavidyalaya from 31 August - 02 September, 2023.
