    Hrituparna Saha

I am Hrituparna Saha, an M.Phil Research Scholar at Jadavpur University in the Department of Comparative Literature. My academic journey began at the same university, where I completed my Master’s in Arts from the Department of English. My interests extend beyond the traditional academic disciplines, venturing into the vibrant realms of theatre and drama. These artistic fields captivate me, not just as forms of entertainment, but as rich, dynamic mediums through which complex human experiences and societal narratives are expressed and examined. They offer me a unique lens to view and interpret my research, enriching my understanding of literature and its societal impact. These topics are not just academic subjects for me; they are profound elements that shape our understanding of human experience. Theatre and drama provide a powerful platform for exploring these identities, challenging societal norms, and offering new perspectives. Through plays and performances, often unspoken aspects of queer and gender narratives are brought to life, allowing for a more inclusive and comprehensive exploration of these identities.

As I look forward to pursuing my PhD at Jadavpur University, my goal is to deepen this exploration. This journey is not just about acquiring knowledge; it's about contributing to a broader understanding and acceptance of diverse identities and narratives in the cultural tapestry of our society.
